Season outlook: These are the new-look Devils. Nicholas represents the first head coaching change this century. Brown, the centerpiece of the offense the past three years when not hampered by injury, has graduated. The new staff is high on the numbers and overall talent. Rubin received on-the-job training when he took over at quarterback in Week 1 of his sophomore season. Porter has the athleticism and explosiveness to be next in the line of top-notch tailbacks at Lewiston. Dumais, Mercier and Green all started on the offensive line a year ago. Several seniors have returned to the program for the first time since freshman year and should make an impact. The schedule remains rugged, and the team is varsity-young, so an early win would do wonders for the Devils’ confidence.
