FRYEBURG — Curtis Smith, 36, of Fryeburg was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of violation of conditions of release, according to a statement from Police Chief Joshua Potvin.
The arrest occurred at 1 p.m. on West Fryeburg Road. The charge resulted from texting someone Smith was prohibited from contacting, according to an officer at the Oxford County Jail in Paris.
Smith had been out on bail after his arrest in late August on a charge of aggravated domestic violence involving a 27-year-old female, Potvin’s news release said.
Smith was taken to the Oxford County Jail where he is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear in Bridgton District Court on Oct. 13 on both charges, Potvin said in a news release.
