GRAY — From 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19, the Maine Wildlife Park on Route 26 will host childrens’ singer Rick Charette.
As a singer and songwriter, Rick Charette has been capturing the hearts and spirits of young and old alike with his delightful and inspiring children’s songs. His performances blend original contemporary pop music and lyrics with imaginative activities that generate all kinds of audience participation. Many of the songs he will perform at the wildlife park will be about all kinds of Maine animals.
For the past five years, over 1,000 children and their families have come out to hear Charette and see the show under the tall white pines of the park picnic area. Charette will sign autographs and sell CDs after this live show. Bring a camera and your lawn chairs.
Admission to the park is free for ages 3 and under; $5.50 ages 4-12; $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for seniors. Groups of 15 or more are $3.50 per person.
Weekend events will continue into fall, including the annual and very popular North Woods Law Day on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Halloweenfest on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24.
