1927 – 2015

BERLIN, N.H. — Georgette Coulombe of Berlin, N.H., died Tuesday, Sept 1, at Coos County Nursing Home with her son, daughter and daughter-in-law by her side.

She was born in 1927 to Treffle and Alice (Levesque) Lassonde. When she was 8 months old, her mother passed away and she was adopted by Eugene and Eugenie (Nini) Lauze. Georgette was raised in Berlin, attended Berlin schools and later worked in the towel room at Brown Co. paper mill, retiring after 31 years.

In 1973, she became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It was her greatest joy to share the Bible’s message with people. Another of her great joys was spending time with family and the visits of friends; she also enjoyed music, dancing and watching Lawrence Welk.

She was a wonderful cook and her guests enjoyed many home-cooked meals at her house.

She is survived by a son, Adrien and his wife, Jeannette Coulombe, of Berlin, N.H.; a daughter, Elaine and her husband, Robert Small, of Durham, Maine; seven grandchildren, Christopher Small, Derek Small, Andrea Blunda (husband, John), Naomi Levesque, Matthew Coulombe (wife, Bethany), Michael Coulombe and Joshua Coulombe; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a stepsister, Lorraine Swann of Texas.

She was predeceased by her parents; nine stepsiblings; her adopted parents; and a son, John.
