1932 – 2015
BRIDGTON — Patricia Ann Buck, 82, of Stoneham, died early Tuesday morning, Sept. 8, at the Bridgton Health & Residential Care Center.
She was born on Nov. 3, 1932, in Lewiston, a daughter of Chester Lee and Edith Eliza (Merrill) Holt. She attended Bridgton Academy.
On June 25, 1950, she married, Carroll “Squeak” Buck Sr. in North Waterford. The date of June 25 was a significant one within the family, as it was also the date of marriage for two of Squeak’s sisters, Stella Thompson and Lucille Buck.
Pat and Squeak made their home in Stoneham for many years, as she worked at the Waterford Spool Mill, Crooked River Dowel and later at the Saunders Bros. mill in Bridgton.
She and Squeak loved to dance and did so as often as they could over the years, as well as snowmobiling and going for motorcycle rides. In retirement, she enjoyed reading and keeping a daily journal. Those close to her will always remember her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor.
Pat is survived by her children, Chester Buck of Stoneham, Terry Buck and his wife, Mary Jane, of Turner, Carroll Buck Jr. of North Waterford, Vickie Pike and her husband, Steven, of Waterford, and Cynthia Fox and her husband, Peter, of Stoneham; siblings, Arthur Holt and his wife, Shirley, of North Waterford, Arlin Holt and his wife, Brenda, of North Waterford, and Sharon McAllister and her husband, Dennis, of Stoneham; grandchildren, Tanya Fox, Lynn McCuaig, Misty Allen, Sarah Buck, Samuel Buck, Melissa Evans and Travis Fox; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Squeak, on Aug. 4, 2005; and a sister, Eleanor “Ellie” Kimball on March 10, 1997.
