RUMFORD — The Police Department responded to 132 calls in a week, including the following.
* Sept. 9, 6:15 p.m.: Waldo Street resident reported theft of debit and ID cards from her vehicle. Sgt. James Bernard is investigating.
* Sept. 9, 6:08 p.m.: Jesse Coffin, 26, of Mexico was arrested and charged with criminal trespass. He was transported to Oxford County Jail on a probation hold. Court date is Oct. 13.
* Sept. 9, 1:15 p.m.: A Cumberland Street business reported a shoplifter. Patrolman Matthew Desroches responded and a 26-year-old Mexico male was issued a summons on a charge of theft. Court date is Oct. 13.
* Sept. 8, 9:53 p.m.: Norman Alleano, 20, of Rumford, was arrested on Cumberland Street on warrant for failure to appear. He was transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.
* Sept. 6, 10:22 a.m.: Derek Volkernick, 23, of Rumford was arrested on Route 2 on a charge of operating under the influence. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 9. He was released on $600 unsecured bail.
* Sept. 4, 9:54 p.m.: Allan Gogan, 65, of Canton, was arrested on Essex Avenue on a charge of operating under the influence. Gogan was released on unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 9. He was released on $600 unsecured bail.
* Sept. 3, 8:48 p.m.: Mary Packard, 44, of Mexico, was arrested on Cumberland Street on an outstanding warrant charging trafficking schedule drugs. Packard was transported to Oxford County Jail. During the arrest she was found in possession of cocaine, Suboxone and Xanax. Packard is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 13.
* Sept. 3, 12:20 a.m.: Patrolman James McLamb and the Fire Department responded to a car fire on Cumberland Street. The fire is being investigated by the Police Department and the state Fire Marshal’s Office.
* Sept. 3, 2:57 p.m.: Billy J. Smith, 32, of Rumford was arrested on Prospect Avenue on a charge of operating under the influence by Sgt. Douglas Maifeld. Smith was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Nov. 9.
