GRAY, Maine (AP) — A new park and ride is coming to a Portland suburb with nearly twice as many parking spots as the current structure.
WMTW-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1OT7uNb ) the new park and ride is being constructed off Exit 63 on Interstate 95 in Gray.
The northbound and southbound ramps are also being separated.
Officials with the Maine Turnpike Authority say separating the ramps made more sense than having all traffic use the same ramp. She says the work on the new interchange will begin in early spring. Crews are building the new park and ride, which is expected to be open in the fall.
Officials do not expect a disruption in traffic.
