DEAR SUN SPOTS: My son-in-law has his father living with him. His dad has a mental health diagnosis and receives his social security disability due to this. Just recently his dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. My question is: Are there resources in the Augusta area that could help him with daily living needs and light housekeeping? He has chronic diarrhea and many times is unable or unaware and doesn’t clean himself up and tracks through the house and gets into the food. DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston High School photography program is again in need of 35mm film cameras. DEAR SUN SPOTS: Saint Vincent de Paul Society will be accepting donations at our new thrift store location at 276 Main St. in Lewiston from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, Sept. 28, Wednesday, Sept. 30, and Friday, Oct. 1. Items we will be able to accept on those dates include clothing (men’s, women’s and children’s), accessories (hats, scarfs, purses, etc.), housewares (no large electrical items please), bedding, towels, jewelry, greeting cards, decorative items (figurines, floral arrangements, framed prints), puzzles and games. We will open Monday, Oct. 5. Store hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
