DIXFIELD — Austin Roy found the net midway through the second half to give St. Dom’s a 1-0 victory over Dirigo in MVC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Gavin Bates needed only three saves to notch the shutout, while Justin Grignon turned aside 15 shots between the posts for Dirigo.
Mt. Abram 2, Lisbon 1
LISBON — A rare yet costly mistake resulted in Lisbon’s second loss Thursday, as the Greyhounds knocked a goal in for the opponent to give Mt. Abram a 2-1 boys’ soccer win.
Ryley Austin gave Lisbon (5-2) a 1-0 advantage in the first half with an assist from Josh Huston. The Roadrunners (2-3) answered when Court Talmage converted a pass from Dan Luce.
Seth Thomas made 10 saves for Mt. Abram, while Jonah Sautter turned deflected four shots for Lisbon.
Mountain Valley 4, Winthrop 0
RUMFORD — After sprinting out to a 3-0 advantage in the first half, Mountain Valley added another for insurance and came away with a 4-0 victory over Winthrop on Thursday.
Sonke Hanneken led the Falcons (6-2) with a pair of goals and one assist, while Curtis Steele and John Pepin also tallied to complete the scoring.
Jacob Beauchesne needed only three saves to preserve the shutout, while Brandon Baxter turned aside 11 shots for the struggling Ramblers (0-5-2).
Gray-New Gloucester 1, York 0
GRAY — Nathaniel Grindley converted a pass from Bryce Hayman with 35:01 left in the first half to give Gray-New Gloucester a 1-0 win over York.
John Henry Villanueva made six saves to notch the shutout, while Ian Houde and Brett Smith combined to deflect two shots for York (3-3-1).

Gardiner 1, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Madelin Walker grabbed a rebound off her opponent’s goalie and fired it into the net as Gardiner posted its eighth straight victory of the season with a 1-0 effort over Leavitt in a KVAC field hockey tilt Thursday.
Senior keeper Kaylin Mansir needed only two saves to preserve the shutout, while Hailey DeMascio deflected six shots for the Hornets (5-3).
Messalonskee 9, Lewiston 0
LEWISTON — Emily Hogan registered a hat trick Thursday to propel Messalonskee to a 9-0 victory over Lewiston in a KVAC field hockey tilt.
Haley Lavell, Autumn Littlefield, Nathalie St. Pierre, Kirsten Pelletier and Saige Knight also tallied for the Eagles (9-0) to complete ths scoring.
Hannah Pinney needed only three saves to record the shutout, while Kaylyn Labonte was strong once again for the Blue Devils (1-8) with 27 saves.
Skowhegan 2, Oxford Hills 0
SKOWHEGAN — Maliea Kelso netted a pair of goals in the second half as Skowhegan earned a 2-0 win over Oxford Hills in a KVAC field hockey tilt.
The Vikings (3-4-1) failed to capitalize on a penalty stroke.
Leah Kruze made six saves for the Indians (8-1), while Anna Huff turned aside 14 shots for Oxford Hills in a solid performance.
Mount View 2, Spruce Mountain 1
JAY — Megan Mikel scored her second goal of the game with 7:13 remaining to give Mount View a 2-1 victory over Spruce Mountain on Thursday.
Emily Hogan tallied for the Phoenix (6-4) on a strange shot that ran along the goal line before going into the net.
Alexis Bowman made 10 saves for Mount View, while senior keeper Grace Ryan deflected nine shots for Spruce Mountain.
Mt. Blue 4, Bangor 0
BANGOR — Adelle Foss netted a pair of goals to propel Mt. Blue to a 4-0 KVAC victory over Bangor on Thursday afternoon.
Hannah LeClair and Hannah Minns also tallied for the Cougars (5-3-1) to complete the scoring.
Erika McArthur made didn’t need a single save to record the shutout, while Kahia Smith turned aside 17 shots for the winless Rams (0-8).
Girls’ soccer
Oceanside 2, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Lauren Hatch and Kelsey Brooks each tallied a goal Thursday as Oceanside hustled to a 2-0 win over Leavitt in a KVAC girls’ soccer tilt.
Kalyn Grover made six saves to notch the shutout, while Angie Dailge turned aside 10 shots between the posts for Leavitt.
York 5, Gray-NG 2
YORK — Sierra Swasey netted a pair of goals and three others added another each as York rolled to a 5-2 win over Gray-New Gloucester in a WMC matchup Thursday.
Payton Humphrey added a pair of assists for the Wildcats (5-0-2), and Kelsey Cole stopped four shots in the win.
Kaelyn Woods and Izzy Detroy scored the Patriots’ (3-3) goals, and Jen Sutherland was busy between the pipes, turning back 16 shots on the day.
