LEWISTON — TOPS at Montello Heights, 550 College St., will host a meeting and weigh-in Tuesday mornings at the sunroom on the second floor.
The weigh-in will be from 9:20 to 9:45 a.m. The meeting will be from 9:55 to 10:55 a.m.

Senior Citizens Cribbage League lists winners
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League has announced winners from its Sept. 17 and 24 games at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
In first place were Leo Bergeron and John Violette; second place, Claudette Grandmaison and Dennis Gosselin; third place, Judy Sirois and Dwight Webb; fourth place, Moe Fournier and Don Haley; and fifth place, Monique Nadeau and Sandy Oliver.
Sept. 24:
In first place were Shirley Miller and Richard Champagne; second place, David Marshall and Bob Cielinski; third place, Cecile Bussiere and Dick Saucier; fourth place, Pauline Quimby and Dwight Webb; and fifth place, Sandy Oliver and Gene Brown.
The next game will be played at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1.

American Legion hosting breakfast
SABATTUS — The first Sabattus American Legion breakfast of the season will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Sabattus American Legion Hall, 40 Island Road.
There will be a full breakfast buffet with eggs made to order. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.
Volunteers are welcome.

Farwell hosting Pumpkin Festival
LEWISTON — Farwell Elementary School will hold its 46th Annual Farwell School Pumpkin Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Farwell Elementary School on Farwell St.
There will be entertainment, a craft/vendor fair, games, prizes, raffles, a bake sale, concessions, a basket raffle, a Scholastic Book Fair and pumpkins for sale.

Blessing of animals in Lewiston
LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church, 59 Sabattus St., will hold a blessing of the animals at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.
In honor of Saint Francis Day and in recognition of the web of life that connects all beings on the earth, the Rev. Pat Hunter Gardiner, a member of Calvary UMC, will celebrate the role that animals play in lives.
Well-behaved, leashed pets are invited to attend with their owners, or owners may choose to bring photographs instead. Pets will have time to return home before the service begins at 10:30 a.m.
Richard Gross will lead the church service at Oct. 4.
The church will host a fall rummage sale Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16 and 17, and a turkey dinner and silent auction Saturday, Oct. 24.
