1937 – 2015
BROWNFIELD — Bertha L. Miller, 78, of Brownfield died Sunday, Sept. 27, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, where she had been living for the past two years.
She was born on Mar. 18, 1937, in North Conway, N.H., a daughter of, Chester A. and Molly B. (Douglas) Day. Bertha attended Brownfield schools and as a young woman, she worked at the shoe shop in Fryeburg.
On May 5, 1954, she married Frank L. Miller in North Conway. They made their home in Brownfield, and she worked as a loving homemaker to her family.
She enjoyed flower-gardening, bird-watching, keeping a clean house and doing word searches.
Bertha leaves behind three sons, Donald Miller and his wife, Robin, of Brownfield, and Richard and Kevin Miller, both of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren, Kerry, Derek, Kimberly, Tyler, Alaina, Allan, Keith, Kevin Jr., Randy and Carletta; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, on Nov. 27, 1996; a, son, Robert K. Miller, on Nov. 20, 1997; and siblings, Albert, Walter, Roger, Gloria, Avis, Ruby and Arlene.
