PARIS — Adela Kalilwa netted her second goal of the contest at the 17:31 mark of the second half to give Lewiston a 2-1 victory over Oxford Hills in more late-season girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

Ally Hanley scored for the Vikings (1-9-1) early in the second half.

Kelsey St. Cyr made four saves for Lewiston (5-5-1), while Sam Bickford deflected 13 shots for Oxford Hills.

Edward Little 1, Cony 0

AUGUSTA — After Edward Little hit the crossbat three times and sent a flurry of shots in on Cony keeper Autumn Sudbury, Emily Jacques finally snuck one through the Rams’ wall of sefense and into the cage with 10 minutes to play in regulation to lift EL to a 1-0 win over Cony in KVAC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

Jacques found the ball in a scrum in front and fired a shot from the 6-yard line that ricocheted through and beat Sudbury.

Francesca-Beth Haines finished with five saves and another shutout for Edward Little (4-4-3).

Leavitt 2, Medomak Valley 1

TURNER — Nikki Daigle found the net with 1:34 left in reulation to give Leavitt a 2-1 victory over Medomak Valley on Tuesday.

Lili Cousineau gave the Hornets a 1-0 advantage early when she buried a shot off her back post run. Maggie Cox tallied for the Panthers with 21 minutes left in the first half.

Angela Daigle made eight saves for Leavitt.

Spruce Mountain 1, Maranacook 0

JAY — Allison Acritelli scored on a breakaway with 15:11 remaining in regulation to give Spruce Mountain a 1-0 victory over Maranacook in an MVC girls’ soccer tilt Tuesday.

Amber Delaney made 10 saves to notch the shutout, while Sierra Wilson turned aside 11 shots between the posts for the Black Bears.

St. Dom’s 6, Wiscasset 0

WISCASSET — Freshman forward Bugsy Hammerton scored a pair of goals as St. Dom’s nailed down a 6-0 victory over Wiscasset in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Saints (9-1-1) took a 2-0 lead into intermission. Nat Masters contributed a goal and an assist as St. Dom’s made many fine crosses to set up scoring opportunities.

Goalie Ariel Mills made seven saves for the Wolverines (1-10), while goalie Victoria Sasse didn’t need any saves behind a solid defense to earn the shutout victory.

Winthrop 2, Mt. Abram 1, OT

SALEM — Winthrop’s Ben Boulay scored with 17 seconds left in the first overtime to lift Winthrop to a 2-1 win over Mt Abram.

Mt Abram’s Xavier Romanoski opened the scoring 21 minutes into the game on a close-range shot. Derek McLaughlin tied the score just 42 seconds into the second half on a header.

Mt Abram had the edge in shots with 11. Winthrop’s Jared Colby made 10 saves.

Telstar 2, Oak Hill 1

BETHEL — Tristen Lilly converted a pass from Kellen True at the 13:54 mark to give Telstar a 2-1 victory over Oak Hill in a late-season MVC boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.

After a scoreless first frame, Avery Griffin gave the Rebels a 1-0 lead 5:33 into the second half. Colin Picket tallied for the Rebels in a solid effort.

Tanner Wheeler made eight saves for Telstar, while Kaleb Morissette turned aside 19 shots between the posts for Oak Hill.

Leavitt 1, Medomak Valley 1

WALDOBORO — Lucas Perry made several key saves for Leavitt as they managed to hang on for a 1-1 tie against Medomak Valley in a hard-fought KVAC boys’ soccer matchup Tuesday.

The Hornets scored their lone goal four minutes into the contest when Evan Clark sent a through ball to Joey Baumann. Adam Eustler tied things up for Medomak Valley before the halftime break.

St. Dom’s 3, Wiscasset 2

WISCASSET — Gavin Bates scored his second goal of the contest just three minutes into overtime Tuesday to lift St. Dom’s to a 3-2 win over Wiscasset.

Ben Trytek gave the Saints (7-2-1) a 1-0 advantage in the first frame with an assist from Eliott Hachey. Russell Marr tallied both goals for struggling Wiscasset (0-9-1) in the first half.

Alex Michaud made five saves for St. Dom’s.

Mtn. Valley 4, Dirigo 0

RUMFORD — Curtis Steele scored two goals to lead Mountain Valley to a 4-0 shutout victory over Dirigo in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons (9-2) turned up the tempo with three goals in the second half.

Goalie Justin Grignon made 15 saves for the Cougars (1-9), while goalie Jacob Beauchesne turned away five for Mountain Valley in the winning effort.

Freeport 2, Poland 0

POLAND — Josh Spaulding scored on a free kick in the first half for the only goal Freeport needed in a 2-0 tilt over Poland in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons (3-6-1) were strong on offense, outpacing the Knights (3-6-1) by a margin of 20-4 in shots on goal. Nate Smail redirected a corner kick from Caleb Rice into the back of the cage to give Freeport an insurance goal in the second half.

Lewiston 14, Oxford Hills 1

LEWISTON — Sophomore midfielder Noralddin Othman netted a pair of goals in a balanced scoring effort by Lewiston as the Blue Devils ripped a 14-1 victory from Oxford Hills in KVAC boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

The Blue Devils (11-0) scored the first two goals in the first three minutes of the contest and continued a strong offense with 31 shots on goal.

Thirteen different players scored a goal as Lewiston finished with 14 tallies. Sophomore forward Muktar Ali contributed a goal and three assists.

Kelton Loper scored the lone Vikings’ (0-10-1) goal on a long free kick.

Goalie Jake Beauchesne made 16 spectacular saves for Oxford Hills. Alex Rivet made two saves to earn the win in net for Lewiston.

Cony 4, Edward Little 0

AUBURN — Nate Parlin collected a pair of goals as Cony dispatched Edward Little 4-0 in boys’ soccer action Tuesday afternoon.

Tyler Sproul and Sam Siracusa rounded out the scoring for the Rams (6-4-1).

Goalie Owen Mower made one save for the Red Eddies (3-4-4) in the losing effort.

AUBURN — Despite dominating the play for most of the afternoon, it took a late goal for Edward Little to find its way past Brunswick in KVAC field hockey action Tuesday.

Marisa Carter broke a scoreless deadlock with 4:46 to play in regulation and Jasmine Wyman added another 1:05 later to lift the Red Eddies (8-4) to a 2-0 win over the visiting Dragons at Sherwood Heights.

EL keeper Karli Stubbs stopped four shots to register the shutout.

Skowhegan 8, Lewiston 0

LEWISTON — Skowhegan established its presence in the first half, and ran away with the game in the second, piling up six goals in the latter frame after two in the former to defeat Lewiston 8-0 at the Franklin Pasture Athletic Complex on Tuesday.

Brooke Michonski and Maila Kelso each had three goals for the Indians (11-1), while Lizzy York and Lauren LeBlond added one each for the visitors.

Kaylyn Labonte made 27 saves in the loss for the Blue Devils (2-8).

POLAND — Abby McDowell led a trio of players to record goals Tuesday as Yarmouth hustled to a 3-1 win over Poland in a late-season WMC field hockey matchup.

Ally MacLoed and Emilie Martin also tallied for the Clippers (10-1-1) to complete the scoring.

Ashley Cloutier turned asside nine shots for the Knights (3-10).

Mt. Blue 6, Mt. Ararat 0

FARMINGTON — Abby Wallace registered a hat trick Tuesday to propel Mt. Blue to a 6-0 late-season shutout over Mt. Ararat.

Hannah LeClair, Rebecca Harmon and Ellie Pelletier also tallied for the Cougars (8-3-1) to complete the scoring.

Erika McArthur needed only one save to preserve the shutout.

Oxford Hills 6, Bangor 0

PARIS — Haley Wakefield netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Oxford Hills to a 6-0 victory over Bangor in a late-season KVAC field hockey tilt.

Erin Morton, Courtney Turgeon, Bailey Wood and Arianna Greene also tallied for the Vikings to complete the scoring. Emma Davidson also contributed with a pair of assists.

Anna Huff made six saves to notch the shutout, while Emma Guernsey turned aside 18 shots for the Rams.
