SUN SPOTS: Thank you for all you do. I know you will be the one to help in this situation. An old album was found in the basement of an Andover home. It contains pictures of George Hill, a fire warden, and some of his grandchildren. If there is a Michael Hill or sister Tanya in the area, they might be interested in this album. Call 207-392-3141 in Andover to arrange to pick it up. Thank you. — No Name via mail.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a phone number for customer service at Sears. Can you help? — Eric B. via online submission form.

ANSWER: Sun Spots called 1-800-526-3088 and spoke to a real person after listening to a brief recorded message and selecting “1” to make a service appointment. I explained that you had tried to get service for an appliance, that you reside in Maine, and I was just trying the phone number to see if it is the correct number to call to schedule repair service. He said it is the correct number. Good luck!

HI SUN SPOTS: I saw the question in Sun Spots about Joe Perham’s CDs. I am writing from The Outlook recording studio in Bethel, where Joe recorded all his albums live in front of an invited audience. Joe’s CDs are now distributed by his grandson, Luke Gizinski. People can email him at joeperhammaine@yahoo.com for a list of stores that carry the CDs. MP3 downloads are also available at all online outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Napster, etc. — Best, Conni St. Pierre of Bethel.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the person looking for Joe Perham’s CDs, Smedberg’s Crystal Spring Farm on Rt. 26 in Oxford has over a dozen different titles on hand. Smedberg’s is located between Walmart and Hannaford. — Gayle S. in Oxford.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The members of the Buckfield Historical Society are interested in locating descendants of Abijah Buck, one of the first settlers of what is now Buckfield, Maine. We are curious if there are any diaries or journals that might have been preserved by any members of his family.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I would like to thank everyone for being so thoughtful to send me so many recipes for French crepes. I have received four beautiful letters from loving, caring ladies and a sweet little note from a lady’s husband who likes his wife’s crepes more than his mom’s. It made me laugh.

I’d like to send you all a thank you letter but I don’t know the addresses for the one’s in the paper — Grammy and J.B.T.  Grammy, the one you wrote is the very same as the one my Meme made — the thick ones, and if I deep fry them they come out the same as the fried dough sold at fairs. I put butter and powdered sugar or butter and brown sugar on mine. You can’t tell the difference between these crepes or fried dough.

Thank you all so very much for your help. To anyone who would like to write to me, I am almost 75 years old and would like to hear from you — it would give me someone to write to, and to Gerry and Pat Gravel, my long-lost friends, thank you for my first recipe. — Miss Anita Caron, 27 Winter St., Lewiston, ME 04240.
