WYMAN TOWNSHIP — A Livermore Falls woman lost consciousness briefly Wednesday afternoon when she fell off the rear of a motorcycle and landed on Route 27, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said Thursday.
Franklin County Deputy Kevin Hartley and Chief Deputy Steven Lowell responded to the crash at about about 3 p.m.
A 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Sandi McAlpine, 45, of Jay, was traveling south on Route 27 when her passenger, Petrah Jacques, 38, of Livermore Falls, fell off, Nichols said.
Jacques was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington to be evaluated.
She was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said Thursday.
McAlpine was not injured.
Jacques and McAlpine were not wearing helmets, Nichols said.
First responders from Eustis Fire Department also responded to the accident.
The motorcycle was not damaged.
