It was such a pleasure to meet my neighbors in Auburn’s Ward 2 when I circulated a petition for Auburn City Council candidate Robert Stone.
I appreciated all of the signatures and everyone I met while out walking with their families and pets and working in their yards. It was such a beautiful summer to be out and about after enduring that rough, expensive winter.
I learned from residents that their top concerns are high property taxes, affordable rents and the proposal to merge Auburn with Lewiston, making one city.
Auburn and Lewiston are unique cities with different histories, needs and potentials. I hope that the cities don’t merge and lose that individuality.
Robert Stone is a person residents can count on to enhance the well-being of Auburn and everyone who lives here. He deserves support on Nov. 3.
