LEWISTON — The Dempsey Center will present “Breast Cancer Surgery: To Have or Not To Have,” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The panel discussion will include three women who will share their decision-making process about this very complex and personal choice. Medical experts will also be available to answer questions about surgical options, breast prosthesis, immediate versus delayed reconstruction and questions patients should ask their physicians.
Panelists will include Valerie Ouellette, Nancy Ansheles and Elizabeth Davis, as well as Sarah Holland, MD, board-certified plastic surgeon; Pamela Rietschel, MD, vascular surgeon and co-medical director of the Bennett Breast Care Center; Kathi Varney, NP, clinical coordinator, Bennett Breast Care Center; and Joan Caron, certified mastectomy fitter, The Medicine Shoppe.
