FARMINGTON — The Franklin County sheriff promoted two patrol deputies Monday to patrol supervisors, elevating them to the rank of corporal.
Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. named Matthew Brann and Kevin Hartley to fill the vacated positions of Cpls. Christopher Chase and Nathan Reid, who resigned recently.
He said Brann and Hartley were “outstanding candidates” for patrol supervisor.
Brann, of New Vineyard, has worked full-time for the county since 2009. He worked for the Farmington Police Department for about five years prior to that. He also worked part time for the county for three years.
Hartley, of Anson, has worked for the county for two years and before that worked for the Madison Police Department for nine years.
Both men were previously recognized as deputies of the quarter. Hartley was named Deputy of the Year in March.
