WILTON — Local police are investigating five car burglaries that occurred in the downtown area over the weekend.

A laptop was taken from one vehicle and a small DeWalt tool chest from another, Gale McDonald, secretary at the Wilton Police Department, said. Smaller items may have also been taken.

The burglaries happened around Curve Street and the parking area behind Brookside Gym, she said.

None of the vehicles were locked at the time, she said.
