TOPSHAM — Beatles For Sale, a popular Beatles tribute band from Massachusetts, will perform at the Orion Performing Arts Center, Topsham, at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6. This is the group’s only Maine performance this year, and the program features different songs from last year’s event.
The group has been entertaining audiences throughout New England since 2007, with a repertoire that consists of over 150 songs from the Beatles’ catalogue. But don’t expect to see wigs or Sgt. Pepper suits. The band says the most important thing about the show is the music. There are no “sampling” or “midi tricks” — everything is performed live.
Tickets are available for $17 in advance at http://beatlesforsaleatorion.bpt.me. and at various area businesses. At the door, tickets will be $20 for adults and $18 for students under 21.
The Beatles For Sale performance is a fundraiser for the capital fund of the Orion PAC to help install new curtains and improve the sound and lights. Concessions will be available at intermission.
The Orion Performing Arts Center is located inside Mt. Ararat High School, 75 Eagles Way.
