AUBURN — Two of Maine’s premier stand-up comedians, Dennis Fogg and Kyron Hobdy, highlight a great lineup for Comedy Fix XXV. The comedy fundraiser will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Sapphire Nightclub and Event Center (formerly Club Texas), 150 Center St., Auburn.

Comedy Fix founder and host, Mark Turcotte, will also welcome Michele Mortensen, Joe Flynn and Jake Jacobson. All net proceeds from the show will benefit Good Shepherd Food Bank, which feeds over 36,000 Mainers each week in all 16 counties.

Fogg’s comedy and restaurant, Uncle Andy’s Diner in South Portland, were featured on an episode of the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible” last summer. The 20-year comedy veteran has entertained audiences throughout New England and beyond and was a finalist in last year’s Funniest Comic on the East Coast Contest at Mohegan Sun.

Hobdy was selected to perform in this year’s World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.

He’s performed at Comix at Foxwoods and is a regular at Headliners Comedy Club. He was also a finalist in the 2013 Funniest Comic in New England Contest.

Mortensen hails from New Hampshire and was recently featured in the Huffington Post. She’s played clubs throughout New England along with Carolina Comedy Club in Myrtle Beach, Side Spltters in Tampa, and Coconuts in St. Petersburg.

In late November, Flynn will compete in the Onion Town Comedy Contest finals. The Salem, Mass., resident was a finalist in New England’s Best Bar Comic Contest and a runner-up in the Witch City Comedy Competition. He’s opened for nationally touring comedian Tony V.

Jacobson is the defending champion of the Crazy Camel Hookah Lounge Comedy Contest and hosts the What’s Your Story? series in Eaton Center, N.H.

The show is for ages 21 and older and contains adult language and content. Doors open at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 and may be reserved at maineeventcomedy.com. FMI, call 207-513-0742 or email maineeventcomedy@gmail.com.
