GARDINER — The Secret Circus will come to Johnson Hall, 280 Water St., at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.

British super-secret circus agents Honeymoon and Butterfly, portrayed by Maya and Brent McCoy, are on a mission. Using their extremely high IQs, plunger arrows and a huge, stealth unicycle, their original comedy and “special” tricks are bound to save the day. The show is action-packed stunt-comedy for all ages.

They have performed Her Majesty’s Secret Circus Show, an action-packed spy-fi comedy show, at theaters, festivals, fairs and colleges all over the U.S., Canada and Europe. This year they received the People’s Choice Award at the 2015 Kingston Buskers Rendezvous.

“I am very excited to have Brent and Maya back at Johnson Hall this year,” said Mike Miclon, executive/artistic director at Johnson Hall. “We were fortunate to have them as part of our 150th kick-off celebration last year and now we get to have their entire show.”

Maya McCoy started in circus as a child at Circus Smirkus Camp in Vermont. She went on to study philosophy and theater at The New School in New York City, studied clowning at Celebration Barn Theater and apprenticed with Bread and Puppet Theater. She is a producer and co-founder of Vermont Vaudeville. Maya is currently on the board of directors for the Celebration Barn Theater and the Northeast Kingdom Arts Council.

Brent McCoy has been a juggling and circus enthusiast for nearly 20 years. He started performing professionally in 2005 and has since toured the planet with his solo performance,”The Real McCoy Show.” He has studied with master eccentric Avner Eisenburg; improv guru Keith Johnstone; and juggling world champion Fritz Grobe.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $5 for children.

Tickets may be purchased by calling Johnson Hall’s box office between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at 207-582-7144, or by visiting www.johnsonhall.org.
