1931 – 2015

LEWISTON — Florence Ruby Curtis, 84, of Lewiston, formerly of Belfast, passed away at d’Youville Pavilion on Friday, Oct. 30.

She was born on April 17, 1931, in Dover-Foxcroft to parents Henry Henry Harold and Lydia Mae France (Hall) Leathers.

She worked for many years at the poultry and sardine factory and at the potato factory.

Florence is survived by Lydia Mae of Oxford, Denise of Lewiston, Melvin of Orono, Lawrence of Belfast, Norman of South Portland, Marlene of Augusta, Dorothy of Florida, and Fred of Tennessee; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Francis Curtis; and 12 siblings, Leslie E. Leathers, Arleta M Leathers-Clark, Ralph E. Leathers, Leona P. Leathers, Cecil E. Leathers, Pauline M. Leathers-Perkins, Minnie E. Leathers-Engstrom, Myrtle A. Leathers-King, Kenneth E. Leathers, James C. Leathers, Glendora M. Leathers-Hartley and Harold E. Leathers.
