Keene State awards scholarships
KEENE, N.H. — Keene State College has awarded 181 first-year students with a Dean’s Scholarship this year.
Local students include Jessica Macias of Topsham, Austin Drouin of Canton and Lea Nolette of Dixfield.
Breton awarded at speech tournament
ITHACA, N.Y. — Elijah Breton, a 2016 Sport Studies major in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Ithaca College, earned third place in Interpretation of Prose in the Suffolk Classic Speech Tournament.
The team earned fourth place overall in the tournament.
Dean named to ‘Who’s Who’
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Alexandria N. Dean of Lewiston, majoring in Arts and Entertainment Management at Western New England University, has been selected for inclusion in the 2015-2016 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.”
Dean is one of 36 students from Western New England University who have been selected as national outstanding campus leaders.
The University’s nominating committee and editors of the annual directory have included Dean based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
