SACO — Police say three men were arrested at a southern Maine motel on drug charges following the overdose deaths of two other men.
The body of the first victim was found Wednesday in the parking lot of Southern Maine Medical Center. The second victim was found in a Biddeford home.
Evidence led police to the Brookside Motel & Cottages in Saco.
State police and DEA agents raided the motel around 2 a.m. Thursday, where they found the men in a room with an estimated street value of $26,000 in heroin and crack cocaine along with nearly $5,000 in cash.
Police arrested 39-year-old Rasmane Sankara, known as “Jamaican Bob,” as well as 21-year-old Elqui Javier and 45-year-old Christopher Ayotte.
The men are being held at the York County Jail.
