John Caramihalis was injured at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday when police say a motorist struck him on Kennebunk Road and fled. He is being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland where he’s listed in critical condition.

Police say troopers determined that a large group of young adults had gathered about a mile away for an outside party.

State police are investigating.
