AUBURN — A local man was injured Sunday after he tripped, fell onto Broad Street and was struck by a car, police said.
Ryan M. Gallagher, 32, wasn’t in a crosswalk when the incident occurred shortly after 6 p.m., according to a police accident report.
Lisa M. Whitter, 33, of Auburn was eastbound in a 2006 Toyota on Broad Street. Gallagher fell onto the street and into the front bumper of the car Whitter was driving, police said.
Gallagher wore dark clothing and there was no lighting in the area, police said.
He was taken to a Lewiston hospital for treatment of head injuries, police said.
