1953 – 2016
RUMFORD — Bruce W. Thibeault, 62, died Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Rumford Community Home in Rumford after a period of failing health.
He was born July 20, 1953 in Exeter, N.H., the son of the late Alfred J. and Mildred L. (Elliott) Thibeault.
Bruce grew up in Raymond, N.H., and was a longtime resident of Peru. He worked in building maintenance for the University of Maine and the Peru School for many years. Because Bruce was an avid hunter and fisherman, he was also well known for running a tackle shop out of his home in Peru called the Bass Bog Tackle.
Bruce was previously married for many years to Barbara Goyette and to Theresa Keefe.
He is survived by his son, Bruce J. Thibeault; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jayme Thibeault; stepchildren, Nicholas, Theresa and Rachelle; sisters, Marilyn Sherman and Pam Ruby, Evelyn McKenney; brother, Alan Thibeault; and several nieces and nephews.
