PARIS — Active-Retired Justice Robert Clifford issued an arrest warrant Thursday for a West Paris man who failed to appear in Oxford County Superior Court for arraignment on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
Brian Flanders, 27, of 4 Yeaton Lane, was arrested Oct. 6, 2015, by Oxford police officer Daniel Hastings in a string of camp burglaries in May 2015. Hastings said Flanders and 32-year-old Johnny Sweetser of Norway parked a vehicle on Richard’s Way and burglarized three camps in that area. Hastings said the pair took a television and power tools from the three camps and attempted to sell them at Pa’s Trading Post on Route 26 in Oxford.
Hastings said police were able to retrieve some of the stolen property.
Police arrested Flanders again in November 2015 on three counts of violation of bail conditions.
On Thursday, Justice Clifford set bail at $200 cash on the new charge.
