DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Wednesday, Dec. 23, I lost a silver Seiko ladies watch while grocery shopping. I shopped at Shaw’s in Auburn, Hannaford in Lewiston, and Bourque’s on Sabattus Street. The watch was a gift from my five children so I’m hoping someone found it and will contact me at 207-784-5961. Thank you for your help. — No Name via mail.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Dec. 28, I fell in my garage after taking out my trash. Being elderly and feeble I could not get up. After many cars went by my house a very kind lady saw me and stopped. All I got was her first name — Pauline. Thank goodness there are still a few considerate people who are willing to help. Thank you again! — A Thankful Lady.
HI SUN SPOTS: My name is Emily Maines and I’m a student at Auburn Middle School. We are working on a community service project. From Jan. 11-15, we will hold a stuffed animal/toy/coloring book drive at AMS.
People not attending Auburn Middle School can bring these items to the school from 8 a.m.- to 3 p.m. on each day of the drive. Students can bring in toys at any time during school hours that week. The toys that we collect will go to ill children at Central Maine Medical Center.
Thank you so much for your help. Direct your questions about this toy drive to emil21219@auburnschl.edu or 207-784-1356 during school hours.
HI SUN SPOTS: I would like to suggest that the Sun Journal does an educational piece on the upcoming caucuses. A lot of people are passionately in support of Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders, but many of these people don’t realize that we don’t have a primary presidential election, rather we have a caucus. And the same for Republicans. I can be available to provide information and assistance. Thank you, Tom Reynolds. Contact tcreynolds@roadrunner.com or 207-783-7451.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice has been selected as a recipient of the “Hannaford Helps” Reusable Bag Program for the month of January. The program was designed to create revenue streams for deserving local nonprofits like AHCH.
For every blue “Hannaford Helps” Reusable Bag purchased at the Lewiston Hannaford on Sabattus Street, AHCH will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill their mission of caring for the health, independence, and quality of life of Maine residents and their families in the comfort of their home and community.
