BETHEL — The Western Mountains Senior College will hold its first Brown Bag Lunch program of the year from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Bethel Inn Library, volunteer Nancy Davis said.
Davis said the theme will be Replaying the 60s, where residents will have the chance to discuss how they remember the 1960s and the significance of the decade.
“In the manner of a pub’s ‘trivia night,’ we will intersperse the 1960s edition of the Trivial Pursuit game with other musical and visual elements,” Davis said.
Davis said the Brown Bag series was created to make the college “responsive to a new generation” and to “reach out to a wider community.”
“The Western Mountains Senior College primarily serves its member population of (people) over 50 years old, but also has developed a rich tradition of reaching out to the wider community with free sessions to the public,” Davis said.
The program, entering its third season, has held discussions ranging from Islam to climate change, to more local topics, such as the ongoing “Edible Bethel” project.
Davis said those interested in attending should RSVP by Jan. 23 .
Those attending should bring a bag lunch.
