FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a patrol deputy, and the Regional Communications Center is accepting applications for a dispatcher.

Full-time patrol Deputy Colt (Sleaster) Bernhardt resigned Jan. 25 for a job outside of police work, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. told commissioners Jan. 19. He said there has been interest in the position from as far away as Texas.

The position has been advertised. The deadline for applications is Friday, Jan. 29.

Full-time dispatcher Blaine Rackliff resigned to take a position with the U.S. Postal Service. His last day as a dispatcher was Saturday.

The position has been advertised and applications are due by Feb. 3.
