BERLIN, N.H. — Denise Doucette and her talented cast have been busy planning and rehearsing for this year’s production of Cabin Fever Follies, an annual benefit performance for St. Kieran’s Community Center for the Arts to be held on Sunday, Feb. 14. The event showcases some of the finest talent that the North Country can offer — young, old and in between! St. Kieran’s Community Center for the Arts is ever-grateful for the time and talent contributions of our local performers.
The theme for this year’s production is “Music from Around the World.” Dancers, singers, musicians and various combinations thereof will hit the performance platform starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14. Highlights will include musical and dance selections from Canada, France, England, Italy, Columbia, Africa, Austria and Spain by local artists, including Tim Dion, Dave Arsenault, Miss Heather’s Dance Company and Randy Messineo. As a special treat, the Celtic group Islay Mist Ceilidh will be opening with a pre-show, beginning at 1:30 p.m., which will be filled with the sounds of Ireland and Scotland.
Tickets for this event are $12 for adults and $8 for students under 18 and can be purchased online at www.stkieranarts.org. Click on the performance series link, select the show and click the “buy tickets” link. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the show.
“A Walk in the Park,” a photographic art exhibit by local photographer Kirstan (Lukasak) Knowlton, is on display in the main hall. This display can be viewed before or after the show, during intermission or by appointment.
