The Sun Journal is hosting a lunchtime live blog at noon on www.sunjournal.com with the Lewiston-Auburn Charter Commission and its consultants from CGR Consulting. The topic will be the effort to combine Lewiston and Auburn, and what the consultants learned from a meeting with city groups and staffers last week.

AUBURN — City Council workshop at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chamber on the second floor of Auburn Hall. Topics include downtown revitalization, housing codes and a new form based code zoning paradigm.
AUBURN — Neighborhood conversations, Auburn Middle School, 6 p.m., for residents to share concerns about the city and schools with elected officials.
LEWISTON — City Council workshop meeting, 6 p.m., in the City Council Chamber on the bottom floor of City Hall. Topics include sidewalk and street improvements to Bartlett Street, and pay-as-you-throw trash collections.

AUBURN — “Her Heart” healthy luncheon, Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dr. Dervilla McCann and Dr. Nicholette Erickson talk about “Cancer Treatment Options and Cardiovascular Disease: Prevention and Minimizing the Risks for Women.” Cost $25, to benefit American Heart Association. THURSDAY, Feb. 11
LEWISTON — Diversity educator Eddie Moore Jr., one of the country’s top motivational speakers, presents, “America is Changing: Are You Ready?” at 7 p.m., Lewiston Public Library. Sponsored by Bates College and Lewiston Public Library. Moore is director of The Privilege Institute, co-editor of journals, and gives diversity workshops across the country.
