Politics has a dirty reputation and, to be honest, it is a notoriously dirty business. The mere mention of politics in certain mixed company leads to uncomfortable and passionate arguments erupting.

Instead of participating, it has become more commonplace for the average American to take their place on the sideline, where it is comfortable, and venture out only to vote on Election Day. I know this is the case because, until I heard Bernie Sanders speak, I was that average American.

As great as this country is, there is something terribly wrong. Bernie Sanders is the candidate who has stood by his positions and is not on the payroll of the upper 1 percent. Sanders can’t be bought, doesn’t need a super PAC and the quality of his character is a refreshing breath of clean air.

A political revolution is happening and everyone is welcome to join.
