RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Police Department recently were:
* Feb. 28, 4:44 p.m.: Amber L. Virgin, 26, of Canton, arrested by Officer James McLamb on a charge of domestic violence assault. She was released on $700 unsecured bail and is to appear in Rumford District Court at 8:30 a.m. April 11.
* March 1, 9:26 p.m.: A Waldo Street resident reported a possible burglary after seeing two males running away. Patrolman Brad Gallant and Cpl. Lawrence Winson found several doors had been entered and damaged.
Gregg Gibbons, 29, and Darren Thibodeau, 34, both of Rumford, were charged with burglary, aggravated criminal mischief, possession of burglar tools and violating conditions of release. At the time, both were out on bail after their Feb. 23 arrest on charges of burglarizing a Waldo Street business. They were taken to the Oxford County Jail in Paris and scheduled to appear in court April 11.
Gibbons was also charged with stealing a package that was delivered to a Waldo Street resident.
