LIVERMORE — The Board of Selectpersons on Monday accepted the resignation of Administrative Assistant Carrie Castonguay, effective March 18.

Castonguay said she will take a position elsewhere.

After an executive session, selectpersons appointed Treasurer Amy Byron as interim administrative assistant. She will be paid $850 per week.

The position will be posted on the Maine Municipal Association website. Applications will be accepted until April 8.

Castonguay was hired July 28, 2014, at a salary of $44,200 plus benefits. She has 15 years of experience in administration as director of adult education in RSU 36 in Livermore and Livermore Falls, which later merged with Jay to make RSU 73. She was also director of adult education in RSU 61 in Bridgton.
