AUBURN — Lost Valley Ski Area will hold a spring skiing celebration — the Big Buck Beach Bash — on Saturday, March 12, and Sunday, March 13, with the goal of making it an annual event.
On Saturday, the Magno-Packard Memorial Race, an Auburn Ski Association/Lost Valley tradition, will be held. Registration is in the morning, with racing all day.
The Beach Bash gets underway at 6 p.m. Saturday with a bonfire and live music.
Festivities start Sunday at 9 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear summer clothes and play snow volleyball, disc golf, snow bocce ball and ski/snowboard limbo. There will be a tiki bar and barbecue.
The Cardboard Box Race is set for 10 a.m. Put on a costume and take the plunge in the Pond Skim at 11 a.m. The finals of the Maine Ski Challenge are at 1 p.m.
