BRIDGTON — Loon Echo Land Trust will host its annual sunrise hike up Bald Pate Mountain in South Bridgton on Sunday, March 20.
Those attending should meet at 6 a.m. at the Bald Pate Mountain main parking lot on Route 107. The moderate hike includes a 300-foot elevation gain and is about a two-hour round trip.
Hot chocolate and snacks will be served after the hike.
Hikers should wear warm clothing, sturdy hiking shoes or boots, and bring water and snacks. Snowshoes or traction devices may be necessary, depending on trail conditions. The hike will be postponed in the event of a major rainstorm or snowstorm. Updates will be posted on the group’s website and Facebook page.
Loon Echo Land Trust protects over 6,200 acres of land and manages 28 miles of multi-use trails in the northern Sebago Lakes region. Its mission is to conserve the region’s natural resources and character for current and future generations.
