1939 – 2016
CANTON — Audrey Ann Towle, 76, died Tuesday, March 15, at Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation. She resided on Auburn Road in Peru.
Born in Rumford on Aug. 7, 1939, she was a daughter of Fred and Irene (Gaudet) Auger. She was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1958.
Audrey was a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius – St. John Church in Rumford. She loved playing bingo and poker with her friends, spending time with her family, spending money on her grandchildren, motorcycling with her husband and friends and RVing to Florida for the winter.
Audrey was married in Rumford on Dec. 13, 1958, to Carl E. Towle Jr. of Peru, who survives her. Other survivors include a daughter, Mindy Vienneau and her husband, Bill, of Carthage; a son, Glenn Towle of Norfolk, Va.; three grandchildren, Ashley Towle of Rangeley, Carl Stritzke of Massachusetts, and Lacey Towle of Dixfield; four great-grandchildren, Austen Bernard of Rumford, Jordan Stritzke of Massachusetts, Dominic Stritzke of Massachusetts, and Chase Bachelder of Rangeley; two sisters, Carol Stephens and husband, Darrell, of Mexico, and Arlene Baldwin of Auburn.
She was predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Lisa Marie; a sister, Joan Dragon; and brothers, Fred Auger Jr., Robert Auger, Richard Lawrence Auger, Lawrence Richard Auger.
