1974 – 2016
SABATTUS — Matthew A. Meader, 41, of Sabattus passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 16.
He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 1, 1974, a son of William A. Meader III and Barbara Peterson Meader. He grew up in the area and attended local schools. Matthew will always be remembered for his love of BMX bikes, playing guitar and animals, especially his cat, Bootsi. He also had a very strong passion for music of all kinds and his favorite singer was Elvis Presley.
He will also always be known for his care and compassion for human life. He was very caring toward people, especially when they were hurting. He was one of the most compassionate people you could every know.
He is survived by his parents, William A. Meader III of Lewiston and Barbara Peterson Meader of Sabattus. He also leaves behind a brother, William A. Meader IV and his wife, Radka, of York; three nephews, Andrew, David and Jacob Meader; his maternal grandmother, Betty Peterson of Athens; two aunts, Cheryl A. Meader of Florida and Connie Lessore and her husband, Don, of Skowhegan; an uncle, Peter Peterson and his wife, Jody, of Madison; and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Carl Peterson; his paternal grandparents, William A. Meader Jr. and Vivian B. Meader; and two uncles, Gary Peterson and Theodore Meader.
