Dementia, caregiver support group begins
LEWISTON – SeniorsPlus announced a new support group for persons in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia disorder. The Family Caregiver Support Group will be offered in a separate meeting room at the same time and place. There will be a total of eight sessions beginning Monday, March 28.
The Early Stage Dementia Support Group offers information, emotional support and socialization among peers who face similar circumstances.
The Family Caregiver Support Group provides emotional, educational and social support for caregivers who are helping someone with dementia.
The meeting times are 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays, March 28, April 11 and 25, May 9 and 23, June 13 and 27 and July 11.
There is no fee, but preregistration is required.

Tri-Town Penguins to meet
DURHAM — The Tri-Town Penguins Snowmobile Club of Durham, Freeport and Pownal meets on the last Tuesday of each month until April. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the Durham Fire Station, 615 Hallowell Road.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, March 29.
New members are always welcome.

Cribbage league lists winners
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on March 17 were, first place, Marie Madore and Val Madore; second, Aaron Burke and Dick Laplante; third place, Richard Champagne and Dick Dennis; fourth, Mickie Farnum and Sandra Oliver; and, fifth, Ed Hinkley and Larry Lefebvre.
The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Armory.
