MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 62 incidents over the past week, including the following:
• A Parker Street resident reported at 4 p.m. March 19 that someone stole clothing from their residence. Police Chief Roy Hodsdon said the case is under investigation and there are suspects.
• Police responded to the report of an assault between two males at 5:54 p.m. March 18. “It was a simple assault, not an aggravated assault,” Hodsdon said. “We’re still investigating the case.”
• There were at least two complaints from residents about ATVs driving on trails, which have not opened yet, Hodsdon said. “I know that when it gets warm out, it makes people want to drive on the trails, but they don’t open until June 1. That means both ATV access trails and regular trails. This gives the trails a chance to dry and prevents people’s property from getting damaged,” he said. He warned that if a person driving an ATV is caught on the access trail, they will be issued a ticket.
