RUMFORD — Among the calls answered by the Police Department recently were:

* April 13, 3:30 p.m.: A Prospect Avenue resident reported the theft of medication from her purse which was in her vehicle while she was out running errands. Patrolman James McLamb was investigating.

* April 14, 6:42 p.m.: A Maine Avenue resident reported the theft of a television from his apartment. Sgt. James Bernard was investigating.

* April 15, 8:48 a.m.: Darren Thibodeau, 34, of Rumford was arrested on two outstanding warrants on Maine Avenue. He was unable to make bail and was taken to the Oxford County Jail.

* April 16, 8:58 a.m.: A Cumberland Street resident reported a burglary and theft of his property while he was away from the residence. Patrolman Brad Gallant was investigating.

* April 16, 9:22 p.m.: Kris R. Welch, 33, of Rumford was arrested on charges of assault, criminal threatening, criminal mischief and violation of conditions of release. He was taken to the Oxford County Jail and given a court date of June 13.

* April 17, 1:16 p.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance call on Waldo Street with several people fighting. While handling the initial complaint, another skirmish developed down the street. Aaron Wallace, 19, of Mexico was arrested on Waldo Street for disorderly conduct. He was released on $400 unsecured bail and was given a court date of June 13. Several disorderly conduct warnings were given.
