SHANAHAN — John H., 71, of Sabattus passed away Tuesday, April 5. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m., at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St., Auburn. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives.

VOTER – Ruth B., 87, died in Mexico on Thursday, April 21. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Peru Baptist Church with Shepard Swain officiating. Interment will be in the Farrington Morton Cemetery in Mexico. Friends and family are invited to call at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Those who desire may contribute to American Cancer Society, New England Division, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Ste. 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240 or to Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 in her memory.
