1939 – 2016
AUBURN — Jane M. Wilkins, 76, a resident of Livermore Falls passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 30, at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 30, 1939 in Farmington, the daughter of Christopher Medeiros and Gwendolyn (Masterman) Medeiros. Jane was a 1957 graduate of Wilton Academy.
On April 16, 1960, in Weld, she married her husband of 56 years, Orman Wilkins.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping and grabbing a “bite to eat” with friends and family. One of her favorite times was planning her annual trip to Boothbay Harbor. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, often referred to as Princess and Bright Eyes. Jane loved devoting her time to caring for her family, as well as being a caregiver to many others. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed.
She is survived by her husband, Orman Wilkins; her son, Derek Wilkins of Livermore Falls; her daughter, Donna Flint and her husband, Joseph, of Winthrop; her granddaughter, Rachel Labbe and companion, Justin Ames, of Danvers, Mass.; brothers-in-law, Bernal Wilkins and wife, Glennys, of Winthrop; Merton Wilkins of Connecticut; Alton Wilkins and wife, Cynthia, of Livermore Falls; Hersey Wilkins and wife, Jeannine, of Livermore Falls; sisters-in-law, Beryl Griffin of Connecticut, Vivian Fuller of Jay, Claire Flagg of Livermore Falls, and Marcia Hamblin and husband, Ed, of Livermore; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and twin sister, Janice McKeen.
