SUMNER – At least one person was hurt late Wednesday when a vehicle rolled over on Butterfield Road.

Fire and rescue crews were sent to the area shortly after 10 p.m. after it was reported that the driver was trapped. Minutes after their arrival, rescuers reported that the occupant was alert, conscious and no longer trapped. However, there were concerns that a second person may have been ejected from the vehicle. 

By 10:30 p.m., police and fire crews were searching around the crash. No additional victims were immediately found.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Routes 140 and 219.
