JAY — A work day will be held Sunday, May 15, to continue reinvigorating the French Falls Recreation Area on French Falls Lane, off Route 4.

The town’s Recreation Committee has planned a number of projects for the day beginning at 9 a.m. These include installing a snow fence around the softball field, weed-whacking, removing brush and debris, mowing the old ice-rink area and clearing the River Walk Trail. Brush needs to be removed and wood chips need to be spread along the trail.

Work also includes moving fill material taken off the softball field to the trail area, general cleanup and cleaning out and painting the storage shed/warming hut.
