LEWISTON — City Council workshop and regular meeting in the City Council Chambers on the bottom floor of City Hall. The workshop begins at 6 p.m. and topics include zoning and a review of the pavement management plan. The regular meeting follows at 7 p.m. and agenda topics include reviews of a downtown Lisbon Street housing development, amendments to the lease with Casella for a recycling sorting facility and reviews of several outdoor concerts and events.
WEDNESDAY, June 22
LEWISTON — Outside Movie Night, “The Peanuts Movie,” sponsored by Lewiston Police Department, free, at Marcotte Park. Youth and family activities begin at 5 p.m.; movie begins at 8:30 p.m. Food trucks on hand. Bring chairs or blankets.
AUBURN — Auburn Community Concert Band free outdoor concert, 7 to 8:15 p.m., Festival Plaza, downtown Auburn. Those attending should bring chairs.
THURSDAY, June 23
LEWISTON — Build Maine Conference at Bates Mill building No. 1, 36 Chestnut St. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. with presentations at 8:15 a.m., 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. There will be off-site demonstrations and tours throughout the day as well. Registration is $75 for all speakers and events.
LEWISTON — A public presentation of a study of Lewiston-Auburn’s Citylink transit system is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Lewiston City Hall. The study looks at ridership statistics, funding and the systems routes. The goal is to make the Citylink system more efficient and accessible and to attract new riders.
AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Charter Commission regular meeting, 6 p.m. in the community meeting room on the second floor of Auburn Hall. Meeting topics include a discussion about the purpose and authority of a transition task force, legal services and an update on baseline report work so far.
FRIDAY, June 24
LEWISTON — Simard-Payne Memorial Park Amphitheater grand opening and ribbon-cutting, 4:30 p.m. at the northern part of the park, featuring performances by Ninth Tone Voice Studios, Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre and the Maine Music Society. The event is free and open to the public.
SATURDAY, June 25
LEWISTON — Third Annual Great Falls Brewfest presented by Baxter Brewing Co., 1 to 5 p.m., Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Beech Street, general admission from $35 to $45.
