WILTON — The Wilton Free Public Library is seeking funding assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development for two projects.
The applications will be discussed during the library board meeting at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the library. The meetings are open to the public.
One application is for money to replace a furnace and address the library’s heating and cooling needs, library Director David Olson said. Up to $25,000 may be sought, which will include funding to reline a chimney and replace lights with more-efficient LEDs, he said.
A second application seeks up to $30,000 to build a patio along Wilson Stream. An architect with Rural Development is helping the library on the project, he said.
Any comments may be directed to Olson at 207-645-4831, director@wilton-free.lib.me.us.
