FARMINGTON —

renewed their marriage vows to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at the Fairbanks School in Farmington on June 5 at 2 p.m., the same date and time as the original ceremony 50 years ago.

Tammy Ackerman stood up with her mother and Edwin Parker served as best man for Mr. Bunker, as he did 50 years ago. Darcy White “officiated” over the vows that he arranged especially for the couple.

The couple sang “Happy Anniversary” to each other, accompanied by their son, Scott on the guitar. Mr. Bunker sang a song, “I Thanked The Lord For You Today,” for his wife that he had arranged as a surprise for her. Katie and Scott Bunker arranged a video, accompanied by favorite songs, of the couple’s lives, before and after their marriage. Katie also served as photographer for the event.

Mellissa Ackerman and Nancy White cut and served the cake. Tammy and Steve Ackerman, Melissa and Joseph Ackerman and Amber and John Dominowski decorated the room for the event. They also displayed and maintained the buffet table. Dave Karkos was the videographer.
